Registrations close 5pm, Monday 15 February
On Saturday 20th February 2021, Auckland will be one of the few international destinations able to host a large-scale pride parade during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
With over 30 groups now confirmed and still more to come, Ponsonby Road will most certainly come alive with celebration, diversity, inclusion and unity and that’s worth celebrating!
Registrations remain open until 5pm, Monday 15 February so there’s still plenty of time to say yes to the parade. Rainbow groups can register for free thanks to the support of the Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust.
This year’s parade includes a sporting collaboration between several high profile sports organisations, rainbow families, rainbow whanau from Taranaki and Hamilton, dance performances and not to mention a stunning performance from one of Auckland’s semi-retired drag queens…..because you can never fully retire a true queen right!
The Rainbow Parade takes place on Saturday 20 February, 2021 5.30-630pm and celebrates diversity, inclusion, respect, unity, love.
Following on from the Auckland Rainbow Parade is the Ponsonby Street Festival. Continue to celebrate and party with live music, street entertainment and great food from one of the many eateries along Ponsonby Road
