RAINBOW PRIDE PARADE 2021: FREE REGISTRATIONS FOR RAINBOW COMMUNITY GROUPS STILL OPEN
Registrations close 5pm, Friday 12 February
The Rainbow Pride Parade is returning to the Ponsonby strip on Saturday 20 February, 2021 5.30-630pm and Express Magazine wants to give a big old shout out to Rainbow Community Groups and remind you that your registration is free!
With registrations open until 5pm, Friday 12 February, there is still plenty of time to say yes to the parade. In this, say it with me, ‘unprecedented time’ let’s revel in how fortunate we are to be able to come together in Tamaki Makaurau and celebrate diversity, unity, love and connection on such a large scale.
What’s more, 10 Rainbow groups can apply to Rainbow Pride Auckland for up to $300 to support any purchases towards the parade thanks to the support of the Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust. From accommodation to petrol, if you’re coming from out of town, to making your float visually sing with balloons and signage, the money is there to help.
Last year Rainbow Pride Auckland achieved a return of the Pride Parade in a walking format, with over 10,000 spectators lining Ponsonby Road. So save the date and get ready to embrace the inclusive, warm, fun and loving atmosphere that Ponsonby Road continues to be a beacon for.
